Rakshak is an International charity organization dedicated to preserving social and family Values, propagation of social harmony and for preventing human rights abuse in the local and global Community especially for Indians.
The organization was founded in 2006 by a group of concerned citizens positioned globally, comprising of Intellectuals from India 's elite Institutions. The organization seeks to create a informed society and citizenary and attempts to address barriers to justice and equality perpetrated by misuse of Laws, which threatens to erode the value system that India prides in.
The ultimate objective of Rakshak is to strengthen the moral fiber and social fabric of society, particularly of Indian Americans. Rakshak employs cost effective ways to create awareness about citizen's responsibilities towards progress and upliftment of society and encourages those who could contribute positively towards this noble cause.
Rakshak Foundation is regularly approached by individuals seeking suggestions either to receive help in their individual problems or problems related to a larger community or cause. Rakshak creates awareness about social and legal issues at various levels in administration in different countries.
Rakshak volunteers only provide emotional and moral support to aggrieved family members in a matrimonial discord. We at Rakshak do not provide any legal service or do not provide any counselling service. Volunteers provide suggestions only based on their experience, volunteers do not have any professional degree for counselling and they are purely volunteers and spend their time purely to help the distressed families. They are not compensated for their volunteer time in any form.
